The Miss Megan II

The Miss Megan II is a fiberglass fishing boat built in 1985, custom designed for comfort with sport fishing charters in mind. She is powered with a Caterpillar V8 diesel which delivers a cruising speed of 17 knots. She has a full tower and flying bridge (crucial for sight fishing). The deck area is very spacious with rod holders and a tuna door for bringing on the big ones. The cabin area is spacious with padded bench seating for each person. There is ample room for storage of cameras, coolers, and other belongings.

The Miss Megan II is equipped with Raymarine^© and SITEXT^© navigational electronics. She is equipped with radar, loran-c positioning indicator, and Emergency position indicating radio beacon (EPIRB). Her communications include a main and 3 back up VHF radios. Of course we have a top of the line Raymarine^© Color fish/depth finder, and track plotter.

We have a eight man inflatable life raft, and life jackets equipped with rescue lights for each person aboard. Miss Megan II also carries an emergency positioning beacon (EPIRB) which sends exact positioning data to the coast guard in the event of an emergency. All of the life saving equipment meets or often times exceeds rigid U.S. Coast Guard standards. We undergo a voluntary inspection every spring.

Your Captains

Captains Shawn & Megan have many years on the ocean. Shawn grew up fishing the ocean with his father and has continued to fish his adult life on his own boats. Megan grew up on the Chesapeake Bay fishing with her parents and has continued to fish her adult life. We both enjoy fishing with new people and that has led us to start our own charter service. We strive for 100% customer satisfaction.
